How this Ribbed Washcloth Knitting Pattern is Made
These washcloths are all knit with US No. 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles on worsted weight yarn. The patterns were designed with Lily Sugar ‘n Cream 100% Cotton Yarn. You can substitute almost any brand of yarn in this pattern successfully; just be sure it is made of 100% cotton or another absorbent fiber.
This is a beginner skill level pattern that requires a general understanding of casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.
The face scrubbies measure 3 inches by 3 inches square, when complete.
The washcloths measure 8 inches by 8 inches square, when complete.
The hand towels measure 17 inches by 23 inches, when complete.
Ordering this Pattern
Order here with the purple “Add to cart” button at the top of this page. You will be able to use PayPal or Amazon to checkout. Or, if you prefer to shop on Etsy.com, you can also find this item there.
If you use the materials suggested in this pattern, your final product will be machine washable. To keep your cloths looking their best, hand wash or machine wash separately on delicate cycle in cold water. You may tumble dry on low heat, but laying flat to dry is recommended, as cotton does shrink a bit.
