Shipping & Shop Policies
Remember to check the item listing to find out how long it will take me to make your order (“processing time”). You’ll need to add processing time to the shipping time below to find out when you’ll get your package.
For example, most hats, mittens, and knits take me two weeks to make. If you choose expedited shipping, it would take 2 weeks plus 1-3 business days for your package to get to you. Jewelry ships more quickly, usually the same day, so you would only add a day of processing time.
I ship with USPS. I will send a tracking number to you when the item leaves my shop. After that you can expect the following shipping times (except in emergencies or bad weather):
US Shipping – USPS says it will deliver in these times:
- Standard = USPS First-Class Mail® = delivery 2-5 Business days after I mail your item.
- Expedited = USPS Priority Mail® = delivery 1-3 Business days after I mail your item.
Shipping Outside the US – USPS says it will deliver in these times:
- Flat Rate = USPS First-Class International Package Service® = delivery times vary by destination.
I always try to get you your items as soon as possible, but if you have a deadline, please don’t hesitate to ask me about it. Please send an email to email@example.com before placing your order if you aren’t sure if you’ll get your items on time.
Cancellations, Refunds and Exchanges
I reserve the right to cancel the order if I can’t fulfill it due to time constraints, shipping or customs restrictions, natural disasters, etc. I will let you know as soon as possible if there is a problem with your order and issue an immediate refund of all funds paid to me.
Should you need to cancel your order, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your order has not shipped, I will be glad to cancel your order and issue a refund. If your item is already in the mail, you’ll need to return it to receive a refund.
Returns of physical goods:
If you don’t want it, please send it back in its original condition and packaging within 7 days of receipt for a refund. Please contact me when you send your item back, so I will know to expect it.
If the item is damaged in shipping, please let me know so I can file a claim with the shipper. We will make arrangements for a refund or replacement.
Returns of digital items:
I do not issue refunds on digital items that have already been downloaded, except as I deem appropriate on a case-by-case basis. Contact me if you have a specific problem with a digital item.
If you find a mistake in a knitting or crochet pattern, please contact me and I will fix the mistake and send you a copy of the corrected pattern as soon as possible.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Everything is handmade by a person, not a machine. This means your item will have its own unique properties. Although they may be similar or almost identical, no two items will be exactly the same. While your purchase will be what is pictured in my store, variations in computer monitors can make the colors appear slightly different.
