About PurlsAndPixels

PurlsAndPixels is a place where I share my knitting, crochet, and jewelry designs. My shop is filled with hats, mittens, and jewelry listings that are handmade by me, Liz Chandler.

Bright colors, cheerful themes, and fantasy characters inspire my designs. I also share my fiber designs as downloadable knitting patterns and crochet patterns. I always strive to write clear, easy to follow instructions. My blog also helps you to make your own crafts. I have lots of free articles showing you how to knit, crochet, and make all kinds of other crafts.

A little about me…

I am Liz over there in the square. – ->>Liz-PurlsAndPixels

Knitting, crocheting, and collecting far too much yarn are among my favorite activities. I also enjoy creating pretty jewelry to help make life a little more shiny.

I grew up in a tiny town in the mountains of Colorado. A rowdy little girl, my grandmother decided to teach me to crochet to help burn off some of my bouncy energy. I adored it and continued crocheting as I grew up. I loved the ability to create something from almost nothing.

Hermit crab hat crochet pattern by Liz @PurlsAndPixelsI took a break from crafting during school, but when my son was born prematurely and we were confined to the house, I picked up a crochet hook again. I started with a silly animal hat, which was so much fun I couldn’t stop. When people asked to have a hermit crab hat of their own, I obliged and opened my Etsy store.

After many successful sales to happy customers on both Etsy and Amazon Handmade, policy changes by those big corporations led me to move my store to it’s own website. I’ve continued to add fun patterns and accessories that I think will make people smile. I hope that a cheerful beanie, some bright mittens, or a set of whimsical earrings will help you remember what makes you happy.

A little about my store…

If you are looking for a little bit of whimsical fun in a very serious world, you’ve come to the right place! Here in my shop, you can find all sorts of colorful and shiny accessories that I have made by hand. I knit, crochet, and make jewelry.

Handmade silver yarn necklace, pendant on a long chain. My colorful knit and crochet hats, mittens, and headbands are carefully made by hand. DIY crochet patterns and knitting patterns are also available for many of my unique designs.

I make earrings, necklaces, and bracelets with adorable charms, pearls, and precious stones. And all of my items could make a lovely gift for that special someone.

I know that when I order something online, I feel like I’ve just gotten a little present when my package arrives in the mail. I keep this in mind when crafting, packaging, and shipping my accessories and art. Each item is carefully wrapped before I ship it in a sturdy packing box. All of my jewelry comes in gift boxes. Knit and crochet accessories are carefully bagged in plastic and wrapped in tissue paper.

I take great care in making and packaging every item I ship, and do my best to make sure my customers are pleased with their purchases. Check out my store policies for more information about shipping and returns. I am happy to answer any questions you have, so feel free to contact me by email.
