Get my Basic Fingerless Gloves Knitting Pattern

Knit fingerless gloves all sizes, simple basic fingerless gloves knitting pattern by PurlsandPixelsThis knitting pattern shows you how to make simple basic fingerless gloves from with worsted weight yarn. This pattern includes instructions for all sizes from baby to adult. I used solid colors of Caron Simply Soft for the design but you can substitute any worsted weight yarn in this pattern. Make sure you check your gauge because you’ll want to make sure these mittens are just the right size. Try this pattern with variegated yarn colors (Simply Soft Paints) to spice things up.

This is a knitting pattern for intermediate to experienced knitters, since it requires knitting in the round with double point needles. This basic solid color mitt pattern would make a great introduction to mitten and glove knitting.

A great knitting pattern for leftover yarn

The fingerless glove pattern will show you how to make increases for mitten thumbs, but because there are no fingers to knit, these mittens work up more quickly than traditional mittens. This quick pattern uses very little yarn, and the smaller sizes make great projects for leftover yarn from other crafts. You’ll need about 32 yards for a baby’s pair of mittens and 95 yards for an adult man’s pair.

Included in the pattern are instructions for all five sizes: man, woman, child, toddler, and baby.
