How Candy Toy Pillows are Made

These toys easy enough for all beginning knitters, so both adults and kids can give this kitting project a try. First, you’ll cast on. Then using only knit stitches  to knit in the round (no turning your work), you will knit a long tube. Then, bind off, and stuff your toy. It’s a simple, fun knitting project with no pressure to be perfect.

Materials

I designed these Candy Toy Pillows using Wool Ease Thick & Quick by Lion Brand Yarn, color “Hudson Bay”. But any super bulky (No. 6) weight yarn should substitute beautifully in this pattern.

Skills

This is a beginner knitting skill level pattern that requires a general understanding of casting on, knitting in the round, the knit stitch, binding off, and weaving in loose ends. If you are not familiar with these skills, find quick, free lessons in my Learn to Knit Guide.

Care

If you use the materials called for in the pattern, your final product will be machine washable. To keep your toy looking its best, hand wash or machine wash separately on delicate cycle in cold water. You may tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry.
