Each glossy hardback notebook measures 8.5 inches by 11 inches. A table of contents lets you write the pattern name next to the page numbers on which you will write.

Jot down quick thoughts in the notes and big ideas section. Then, when you are ready to compose your own pattern, you’ll have a place for each design. You can write the pattern name the materials used, the notes you have about your project and a small sketch. Finally a roomy section for your written instructions gives you space write out the steps needed to make the pattern again. Each journal is the same on the inside.
