Description
Double-Stripe Ribbed Washcloth Knitting Pattern
by Liz Chandler @PurlsAndPixels
Add some color to your kitchen or bath by knitting your own double-stripe ribbed washcloths. Use an absorbent worsted-weight yarn, like the cotton suggested here. Then, you will have handcrafted home goods that are not only unique and beautiful, but also practical and absorbent.
A knit, purl rib pattern creates an ideal texture for washcloths. The simple pattern repetition also allows you to focus on learning color transitions. In this pattern, there is no need to clip your yarn between color changes; simply knit with the same, uncut strand of yarn each time you are instructed to switch colors. This technique will save you time when weaving in your ends.
Create these practical and stylish items, customizing colors to match your personal preferences. You can substitute almost any brand of yarn in this pattern successfully; just be sure it is worsted weight and made of 100% cotton or another absorbent fiber.
This knitting pattern contains instructions to make three sizes of ribbed washcloth: face scrubby, washcloth, and hand towel.
This is a Do-It-Yourself knitting pattern that you download as a digital PDF file after you purchase it. You will be able to save the file and print it. Please note: you will NOT receive a physical item.

Ordering this Pattern
Order here with the purple “Add to cart” button at the top of this page. You will be able to use PayPal or Amazon to checkout. Or, if you prefer to shop on Etsy.com, you can also find this item there.
Care
If you use the materials suggested in this pattern, your final product will be machine washable. To keep your cloths looking their best, hand wash or machine wash separately on delicate cycle in cold water. You may tumble dry on low heat, but laying flat to dry is recommended, as cotton does shrink a bit.
